Swaps Recieved Part 1

I have started making up the swaps I received as part of the shoebox swap.

Here are the first four from Nicola, Elaine, Valerie and Fiona.

I have most of these sets which means that I can redo some more of my favourites but I don't have (yet!!!) By The Seashore - but it looks lovely doesn't it.

Less Is More #121

Hello, sorry I've been a bit quiet this week. I have been making lots of things to share with you but just never got the time to sit down in front of the computer.

I'm back today with a card for the Less is More challenge.

I found this quite a difficult challenge this week as the theme is Humour.

I have gone down the road of dark humour, with a Singing in the Rain card.

Yes, it's still raining here. It was bright for about 5 minutes about 1/2 an hour ago but the grey clouds are coming back already.

Bonjour, désolé j'ai été un peu calme cette semaine. J'ai fait des tas de choses à partager avec vous, mais tout simplementje n'ai pas eu le temps de m'asseoir devant l'ordinateur.

Je suis de retour aujourd'hui avec une carte pour le défi Less is More.
J'ai trouvé cela un défi difficile cette semaine, le thème est l'humour.

J'ai pris la route de l'humour noir, avec une carte 'chantant sous la pluie'.

Oui, il pleut toujours ici. C'est était lumineux pendant 5 minutes il y a environ une 1/2  heure, mais les nuages ​​gris reviennent déjà.

Artful Readers Club February 2013

My second book of the year for the Artful Readers Club is 

 A Village in Jeopardy by Rebecca Shaw

The best way to describe this book is a soap opera in words.

This is the 17th book in the series and I wait with baited breath from the finish of one book to the publication of the next.
All the books are set in the fictional village of Turham Malpas - think of a beautiful Midsomer Murders village without the murders !!

Each book has a list of all the characters and what they do in the village and there is also a plan of the village, so you can see where everyone lives. I often refer to these guides as I am reading the books.

The main characters, this time, are Johnny Templeton (nephew of a former resident Sir Ralph),
and
Alice and Marcus March.
Alice is the village music teacher and her husband Marcus is writing a novel.

These are the two people I took my inspiration for my artwork.
The music paper, shaded in girly colours of Perfect Plum and Raspberry Ripple and some typed sheets to represent Marcus' writing.

Johnny, our newcomer, wants it all - the big house which belonged to his family for generations and the girl, even though she's already married. But to get them other people will have to loose them first.
Alice is fed up bankrolling Marcus, while he is trying to write the perfect novel.

I have to admit that this has been my least favourite book in the series, which was a bit of a shock as I have loved all the others. When I first started reading it, I thought that I had missed one out, but I hadn't (I did check). The story seemed to have jumped on quite a bit from the end of book number 16, A Village Deception.
All that said, I am now waiting with baited breath again for the next instalment.

Dynamic Duos #33

This week's challenge at Dynamic Duos is Gold and Black with a Music Theme.

I thought that instead of a Christmas card, that I would make a card that would be great for a festive time birthday.

I got my musical element from the wonderful Natural Composition Speciality DSP.

J'ai pensé qu'au lieu d'une carte de Noël, que je voudrais faire une carte qui serait idéal pour un anniversaire pendant la période festive.

J'ai obtenu mon élément musical de la magnifique DSP Specialité composition naturelle.

Scrapbook Sunday #120

Today for Scrapbook Sunday I have used the new paper protectors that allow you to use lots of different shapes of paper and display them all together.

Here I have used two photos of me while I was pregnant with Neil (I know, I look so young !!)

I think that I am going to have lots of fun filling the 10 pages (only £5.50/7.25 Euros) that come in the pack.


Aujourd'hui, pour Scrapbook dimanche, j'ai utilisé les nouveaux protège-feuilles à séparateurs qui vous permettent d'utiliser beaucoup de différentes formes de papier et de les afficher toutes en même temps.

Ici, j'ai utilisé deux photos de moi pendant que j'étais enceinte de Neil (je sais, je l'air si jeune!)

Je pense que je vais avoir beaucoup de plaisir à remplir les pages 10 du pack, à seulement 7.25 Euros.

Halloween & Autumn 3D Frames

I had a busy weekend with lots of my lovely customers dropping by 

to make these two new 3d inserts for their box frames.

As the run up to Halloween is quite short, I also made a autumnal frame as well.

This is really the project that started me off with my new favourite colour combination.

Everyone was really pleased with their frames and 

most as now set for a seasonal change all year long.

J'ai eu un week-end avec beaucoup de mes charmantes clients qui sont venues pour faire deux nouveaux inserts 3d pour leurs cadres.

Comme l'approche de l'Halloween est assez court, j'ai aussi fait un cadre automnal.
C'est vraiment le projet qui m'a commencé avec ma nouvelle combinaison de couleurs préférée.

Tout le monde était très heureux avec leurs cadres et
la plupart sont maintenant fixé pour un changement de saison toute l'année.

Starting Halloween

We were at a Halloween party on Saturday evening and I made this decorated candle and box for my friend as a little thank you. 

I used another design from the Natural Composition papers to make the box ends.

Nous étions à une fête d'Halloween samedi soir et j'ai fait cette bougie décorée et boîte pour mon ami pour la remercié merci.

J'ai utilisé un autre dessin des papiers Composition Naturelle pour faire la boîte.

Sunny Creations #63

This is my current favourite colour combination -

Old Olive, More Mustard, Cajun Craze and Bravo Burgundy.

(In fact these are the colours we will be using to make our Autumn 3D Frame on Saturday !!)

Here I have coloured in the Natural Composition Speciality papers using the new Stamping Sponges.

Isn't this just the most wonderful paper ??

I took the sketch from this week's challenge at Sunny Creations.

C'est ma combinaison préférée de couleurs en ce moment -
Vert Olive, Moutarde Forte, Ocre Roussillon et Bordeaux Bravo .

(En fait, ce sont les couleurs que nous allons utiliser pour notre cadre 3D d'Automne ce samedi !!)

Ici, j'ai couleur dans les papiers spécialisés Composition Naturelle à l'aide des nouveaux éponges Stamping Sponges.

C'est tout simplement un papier merveilleux?

Feeling Ick ??

Having lots of fun with all the new products I got last week. 

Can you guess that this Lattice die is my favourite ??

One of the sets of papers I was most looking forward to receiving were these ones, Natural Composition Speciality....and I was not disappointed. They are really thick papers and all have a wonderful glossy pattern on one side. 

Great fun to work with !!

Only 15.25 Euros for 12 sheets.

Je prends beaucoup de plaisir avec tous les nouveaux produits j'ai reçu la semaine dernière.

Pouvez-vous deviner ce que ce poinçon Treillis est mon préféré?

L'une des séries de papiers j'ai été particulièrement hâte de recevoir ce sont ceux-ci, Spécialité Composition Naturelle .... et je n'ai pas été déçu. Ce sont des papiers très épais et qui ont tous un magnifique motif brillant sur un côté.

Très amusant à travailler avec!

Seulement 15,25 euros pour 12 feuilles.
