Scrapbook Sunday #85

These are the last of my photos from Leeds Castle, I hope we visit it again some day as it was such a lovely day out.
I love the turquoise sky in the first photo and just had to compliment it with a turquiose page. I ripped some Whisper White cardstock and inked the edges in Basic Gray and
Wisteria Wonder to match the clouds and using a non SU die to make the grass.

Ce sont les dernières photos de Leeds Castle, j'espère que nous y retournerons un jour car nous avons passé une très belle journée là-bas.
J'aime le ciel turquoise de la première photo et je devais le compléter sur une page turquoise. J'ai déchiré du papier Murmure Blanc et encré les bords avec de l'encre Gris Souris et Galante Glycine pour faire comme des nuages et j'ai utilisé un poinçon non-SU pour faire le gazon.

On the second page, I thought that this wonderful Cedar tree was worth putting on a scrapbook page as they are such magnificent trees, don't you think so ?

Sur la deuxième page, j'ai pensé que ce superbe cèdre valait le peine de le mettre sur une page de scrapbooking car se sont des arbres magnifiques, ne trouvez-vous pas ?

Postcard Challenge Week 6

This week we are just heading next door to BELGIUM.

Tim visited Paris last week but did Simone open the door ??

Well.................. here is her reply........

Dear Timothy,
Thank you Tim ! The children were happy to see you again. I'm sorry that I couldn't be there. My work made me go the Brussels. I didn't have any choice.
I want to start again with you. We have spent too many years together.
I love you, Simone.

But there seems to be some hope - look at the stamp (Mr & Mrs) the biggest sign yet that all will be well.
For this card I used my new Watercolour pencils - a first for me. Hopefully I'll get them out again soon.




Cette semaine nous allons juste à côté en BELGIQUE.

Eh bien ........voici sa réponse....

Il semble y avoir un peu d'espoir - regardez le timbre (M et Mme) le plus grand jusqu'à maintenant puisque tout ira bien.

Pour cette carte j'ai utilisé mes nouveaux crayons Aquarelle, c'est leur première sortie. J'espère que j'aurai l'occasion de les sortir encore bientôt.

Scrapbook Sunday #5

The thing about scrapbooking is that you don't have to respect the seasons. I don't know about you but I tend to wait until I've got a few photos before I send them off to get printed, which means that in the summer I often have the photos from previous autumns and winters and vice versa. But that means the I can use colours which might suit autumn better than right now.
These photos were taken in a garden centre where they have a nature trail near Pratt's Bottom. BTW their tearoom was fab as well !!

Le vrai plaisir avec le scrapbooking est qu'on n'est pas obligé de respecter les saisons. Je ne sais pas pour vous, mais moi, j'attends d'avoir plein photos avant de les faire imprimer, ce qui veut dire qu'en été j'ai souvent des photos des saisons précédentes et vice versa. Mais ça permet d'utiliser des papiers qui sont plutôt automnaux. Ces photos ont été prises au sud de l'Angleterre(Pratt's Bottom - fesses d'abruti - vraiment!!!) dans un jardinerie où il y avait un sentier écologique. Ils avaient un très bon salon de thé en plus.

What a great name for a great colour!

I love this colour....and it goes so well with Old Olive another of my favourites. This is quite a simple card but the colour combination just brings it to life.

Quel joli nom pour un si joli coloris !

J'adore cette couleur... et ça se marie très bien avec Vert Olive une autre de mes préférées. C'est une carte assez simple mais c'est la combinaison de couleurs qui lui donne vie.

Sunny Holiday Weekend

Finally a long weekend that OH gets off!!! And it's his birthday on Sunday. So this will be his card. Tried to use more masculine colours (no pinks, purples etc....) with the Trendy Trees set. I got the template for the card from a blog in England.
The weather promised to be good, so hopefully a good weekend will be in store.

Enfin un long weekend que mon mari peut prendre!!! Et en plus dimanche c'est son anniversaire . Voilà sa carte, j'ai essayé d'utilisier des coloris plus masculin (pas de rose ni violet.....) avec les tampons Trendy Trees. J'ai pris le modèle sur un blog en Angleterre.

Le temps promet d'être beau ce weekend en espérant de passer un très bon moment.
