Friday Mashup for the Boys

  Isn't this a great sketch ?? I can see myself using this over and over again.

For today's card I have used The Open Sea stamp set and the Twitterpated DSP, these papers are great for both male and female cards.

C'est un beau sketch n'est ce pas ??Je m'y vois l'utilisant encore et encore.
Pour la carte d'aujourd'hui, j'ai utilisé le set de tampon The Open Sea et le Papier de la Serié Design  Roses en Liberty, ces papiers sont parfaits pour les cartes hommes et femmes.

Postcard Challenge Week 21

 This week we are in In-Ger-land (yes,still on a New Order high)

for Darcy's postcard challenge.

I have being listening to all my New Order CDs in the car and annoying the kids by singing along, so Graham suggested that my England card should have 3 lions in it. I had thought about doing something more Jubilee inspired but I loved the idea of the lions and went with that instead.

I remember when this song came out and going into a record shop (yes, they did exist many years ago) to get this but I just couldn't bring myself to buy it and left with the Scottish World Cup song instead. Can't even remember what it was now.

This conversation with Graham took place in the car In Gerland - how funny is that !!

Cette semaine, nous sommes dans In-Ger-Land (oui, encore sur un rêve de New Order)
pour le défi de carte postale de Darcy.
Je n'ai écouté que mes CD de New Order dans la voiture et en même temps gênantes les enfants en chantant avec, afin que Graham suggére que ma carte de l'Angleterre devrait avoir 3 lions dessus. J'avais pensé à faire quelque chose de plus Jubilée inspiré, mais j'ai adoré l'idée des lions, et j'ai fait cela à la place.
Je me souviens quand cette chanson est sortie et je suis allée dans un magasin de disques (oui, ils l'ont existé il y a plusieurs années) pour y acheter, mais je ne pouvais pas me faire l'acheter et à la placeje me suis sortie  avec la chanson Coupe du Monde écossaise. Je ne peux même pas rappeler ce que c'était maintenant.
Cette conversation avec Graham a eu lieu dans la voiture à Gerland - comment est drôle, c'est ça!!

Tim has had a great week at home and isn't showing Simone any sympathy about not seeing the baby.

Tim a eu une excellente semaine à la maison et ne montre aucune sympathie pour Simone qui n'a pas encore vu le bébé.

 Quelle très bonne semaine, je passe. Reposant à la maison, en profitant du soleil et de nos 2 princesses.
Quel beau bébé, tu ne sais pas ce que tu rate.

Missing Husband

Yesterday was my lovely husband's birthday.

Unfortunately we didn't get to spend it with him (first time ever !!) as he had to go to a funeral, so not really a great day for him either :-(

But we sent him off with card to keep him going until he is back here with us and we can celebrate all together.

Hier c'était l'anniversaire de mon adorable mari.
Malheureusement nous n'avons pas pu le passer avec lui (c'est la première fois!!) car il a dû aller à un enterrement, donc pas vraiment un grand jour pour lui non plus :-(
Mais il est parti avec la carte pour lui tenir jusqu'à son retour ici avec nous et que nous pouvions célébrer tous ensemble.

Not a Card

 Not a card today but some photos (admittedly a bit blurry) of the New Order concert we were lucky enough to go to on Sunday evening.

I have loved New order for more years than I am willing to admit and never thought that I would get to see them live again.

So I was over the moon when I discovered that they were playing in Lyon.

 Pas une carte aujourd'hui, mais quelques photos (certes un peu floues) du concert de New Order, nous avons eu la chance d'aller dimanche soir.
J'ai aimé New Order depuis plus longtemps que je suis prête à admettre et je n'ai jamais pensé que j'irai les voir à nouveau.
Donc j'étais sur la lune quand j'ai découvert qu'ils allaient jouer à Lyon.

 For the most part the audience were of a certain age !! LOL So we fitted right in.

 La plupart du public était d'un certain âge !! MDR Donc, nous étions bien dedans.

And yes, in case you were wondering, there was an extremely tall man in front of us but we saw everything anyway.

Et oui dans le cas où vous vous demandiez il y avait un homme extrêmement grand devant nous, mais nous avons vu tout de toute façon.

Hopefully I won't have to wait another 20 years before I see them again. 

Espérons que je n'aurai pas à attendre encore 20 ans avant que je ne les revoit.

A Real Wow !!

 On Friday, Cécile showed us (Corinne and me) how to make these beautiful peony roses.

I am actually addicted to making these now and have made a few more in other colours that I will make into cards.

I think that the Pink Pirouette and Melon Mambo is my current favourite.

A huge thank you to Cécile for sharing with us.

Vendredi dernier, Cécile nous a montré (Corinne et moi) comment faire ces belles roses de pivoines.
Je suis effectivement accro à les faire maintenant et j'en ai fait quelques-unes de plus dans d'autres couleurs que je ferai ensuite en cartes.
Je pense que la Petite Pirouette et Melon Mambo est ma combinaison favori actuelle.
Un grand merci à Cécile pour avoir partagé avec nous.

Dymanics Duo #3

 This is the 3rd challenge from the Dynamic Duos ladies.

Voilà le troisième défi des dames de Dynamic Duos.

I have made a 6 x 6 card using Daffodil Delight cardstock. On the black mat I have stamped some flowers using the Mixed Bunch stamps ( I hope you can see it too).

J'ai fait une carte 15cm x 15cm en utilisant papier cartonné Narcisse délice. Sur le fond noir que j'ai tamponné quelques fleurs en utilisant des timbres Mixed Bunch (J'espère que vous pourrez le voir aussi).

Oh my goodness what a difference in 10 years !!!

Well for Graham any way.......why do we not feel 10 years older ???

You can see the sofa is still going strong.LOL

Oh la,la quelle différence en 10 ans!
Eh bien pour Graham quand même ....... pourquoi ne nous ne sentons pas 10 ans plus âgé??
