Dad's Birthday

It was Martyn's birthday last week and this is the card that I made for the boys to give him.

Now that it's Spring (I can't really say -now that's the weather's better) Martyn goes off to work on his bike every morning. So using one of the dies from the Apothecary Accent Framelits set to cut out a bicycle from the Fan Fair DSP.

C'était l'anniversaire de Martyn la semaine dernière et c'est la carte que j'ai fait pour les garçons à lui donner.

Maintenant que c'est le Printemps (je ne peux pas vraiment dire maintenant-pas que le météo va mieux ) Martyn va au travail sur son vélo tous les matins. Donc, en utilisant l'une des dies de Framelits Cadres d'Apothicaire pour couper un vélo dans le papier Expo Universelle DSP​​.

Bordering On Romance Birthdays

 This set, Bordering On Romance, has been sitting a little idle on my shelves recently, so I dusted it off last week to make a couple of cards for friends birthdays.

The pink card was coloured in using the Brights Watercolour Wonder crayons (available just until stock last) and the coral card was coloured in using a blender pen and the Calypso Coral ink pad.

 Ce set, Bordering On Romance , a stagné un peu sur mes étagères récemment, alors je l'ai dépoussiéré la semaine dernière pour faire quelques cartes pour les anniversaires des amis.

La carte rose était coloré en utilisant les crayons Watercolour Wonder brillants (disponible seulement jusqu'à épuisement des stocks) et la carte de corail était coloré en utilisant un crayon-estompe et le tampon d'encre Calypso Coral.

We also had a yummy Lemon and Blueberry cake at Saturday's class for Jill's birthday.

We all enjoyed a slice with a cup of tea, before Neil and Martyn came to wish Jill a Happy Birthday and steal a slice each too !!

 Nous avons mangé un délicieux gâteau au citron et aux myrtilles pendant le cours de samedi pour l'anniversaire de Jill.
Nous avons tous apprécié un part avec une tasse de thé, avant que Neil et Martyn sont venus à souhaiter un joyeux anniversaire à Jill et de voler un part aussi !!

Stampin' Up! Cross Stitch

My niece has recently started to cross stitch, so I made up this card using the Simply Sent Sweet Threads set in the Spring/Summer catalogue.

I too, love cross stitch but it has been a while since I picked anything up.

I still have quite a big Christmas one on the go !!

 Ma nièce a récemment commencé à broder, alors j'ai fait cette carte en utilisant leSimply Sent Filez en doux coton dans le catalogue printemps / été.

Moi aussi, j'aime faire du point de croix, mais ça fait un moment depuis que j'ai pris quoi que ce soit.

J'ai encore assez grand dessin de Noël à finir !!

Birthday Butterflies

Last week was my brother-in-law's birthday and this is the card that we sent him- 

Jon if you didn't get this then please let us know before we send your Christmas card out too !!

I think that this (Summer Solstice) is a great stamp set and shouldn't be used just for female cards.

Here I have used Midnight Muse, Cajun Craze, More Mustard and Pacific Point for a manly feel.

La semaine dernière, c'était l'anniversaire de mon beau-frère et c'est la carte que nous lui avons envoyé-

Jon si tu ne l'as pas reçue cela, alors s'il te plaît laisse-nous savoir avant que nous envoye la carte de Noël  !!

Je pense que ce (Summer Solstice) est un set de tampons est beau et ne doit pas être utilisé seulement pour les cartes de filles.

Ici, j'ai utilisé Muse de Minuit, Ocre Roussillon, Moutarde Forte et Pointe Pacifique pour une sensation de virilité.

Scrapbook Sunday #118

 I thought that I would carry on the themes of the last couple of days - Scotland and Neil's Birthday.

First page is Graham in various tartan pieces of clothing.

Some tartan trews for Christmas and then this hilarious hat and hair wig.

I love them both !!

Second page was Graham's first photo with his new baby brother.

I finished the page with some Flowering Flourishes to give the page a little more depth.

 J'ai pensé que je pourrais mener sur les thèmes de ces deux dernières jours - l'Écosse et l'Anniversaire de Neil.

La première page est Graham portant des vêtements tartan.
Un pantanlon tartan pour Noël et puis ce chapeau /perruque tartan.
Je les aime tant !!

Deuxième page a été première photo de Graham avec son nouveau petit frère.
J'ai terminé la page avec Flowering Flourishes  pour donner à la page un peu plus de profondeur.

Old and New

The colours I have used today are a mix of Old and New.

The old is Poppy Parade and is from the In Colors 2010/2012, which means that you only have until September 30th to get yours before it waves goodbye for good. 

And the new is Midnight Muse and that is one of the new In Colors for 2012/2014 and as my pre order from the Autumn/Winter catalogue has arrived, I got to see all the new colours this week.

And as much as I will be sad to see the 2010/2012 In Colors leave, I absolutely love the new replacement colours and will be using them lots in the next two years !!!

Les coloris que j'ai utilisés aujourd'hui sont un mélange d'ancien et de nouveau.

Le vieux est Calicot Coquelicot et c'est un des In Colors 2010/2012, ce qui signifie que vous n'avez que jusqu'au 30 Septembre apour avoir le vôtre avant qu'il dise au revoir pour de bon.

Et la nouvelle est Muse de Minuit et c'est l'un des nouveaux In Colors pour 2012/2014 et comme ma précommande à partir du catalogue automne / hiver est arrivé, j'ai pu voir toutes les couleurs nouvelles cette semaine.

Et autant que je serai triste de voir les 2010/2012 In Colors partis, j'ai vraiment adoré les couleurs de rechange neuves et je les utiliseront beaucoup dans les deux prochaines années !!

Still Smiling

Another Reason To Smile card today.

I love this big flower, the detail is just so pretty.

Here is I used Perfect Plum, Blushing Bride and Sahara Sand to make a soft subtle card.

This pleated ribbon is just so easy to use.

Une autre Reason To Smile carte aujourd'hui.
J'aime cette grande fleur, le détail est si joli.
Ici, j'ai utilisé est Prune parfaite, Fleur de Cerisier et Sable du Sahara pour faire une carte douce et subtile.
Ce ruban plissé est tellement facile à utiliser.

Dad's Birthday

Like my brother's card that I showed you yesterday, I have used lots of squares for my dad's card too.

But I felt that the background was too plain, so I jazzed it up using the Henry Builder Wheel and Old Olive ink.

And although I forgot to take a picture, I decorated the inside with this wheel as well.

Comme la carte de mon frère que je vous ai montré hier, j'ai utilisé beaucoup de carrés pour la carte de mon père aussi.
Mais je sentais que l'arrière-plan était trop vide, alors je l'ai égayé en utilisant la roue fusion Henry et l'encre Vert Olive.
Et bien que j'ai oublié de prendre une photo, j'ai décoré l'intérieur avec cette roue aussi.

Friday Mashup for the Boys

  Isn't this a great sketch ?? I can see myself using this over and over again.

For today's card I have used The Open Sea stamp set and the Twitterpated DSP, these papers are great for both male and female cards.

C'est un beau sketch n'est ce pas ??Je m'y vois l'utilisant encore et encore.
Pour la carte d'aujourd'hui, j'ai utilisé le set de tampon The Open Sea et le Papier de la Serié Design  Roses en Liberty, ces papiers sont parfaits pour les cartes hommes et femmes.

Family Album

This is the mini album we made at the class on Saturday.
As nobody had the right sized photos with them, they all took it home to be completed. I do hope that they bring back the finished books next time so I can show your their work.

This was my first mini album made using beer mats (blank ones not a real beer in sight !!) and I loved making it and can't wait to try out another one using different papers.

Voilà le mini-album que nous avons fait samedi dernier.
Comme personne n'a pas pu amener les photos, elles ont amené l'album chez elle pour le finir. J'espère que la prochaine fois elles les ramèneront pour que je puisse les partager avec vous.

C'était mon premier mini-album fait avec les sous-verres (des vierges bien sur, pas une tache de bière en vue) et j'ai eu tellement de plaisir à le faire que j'ai hâte de recommencer avec d'autres papiers.

Scrapbook Sunday #80

I did want to finish my Batman pages for today, but in my pre-Christmas tidy I seem to have put the photos in a safe place............and we all know what that means.........I now have no idea where they are !!!
So instead you have some beautiful photos of my family.
Aren't they gorgeous ?? I think so, I feel so lucky when I get such good photos of them together.


Je voulais terminer mes pages de Batman pour aujourd'hui, mais dans mon rangement de pré-Noël j'ai mis les photos dans un endroit sûr..........et on sait tous ce que cela signifie.......je n'ai aucune idée où elles sont !!!
Donc au lieu vous avez quelques belles photos de ma famille.
Ils sont beaux n'est pas ?? Je pense que oui, et je me sens tellement chanceuse quand je leur prend en photos ensemble.
