Cute Baby

A while ago I showed you the boy version of this card but as the girl version was for classes I have waited until all the ladies have made their versions.

This cute elephant from the Zoo Babies stamp set was a huge success with everyone.

Il y a quelque temps je vous ai montré la version de garçon de cette carte, mais que la version de fille était pour les classes que j'ai attendu jusqu'à ce que toutes les femmes ont fait leurs versions.

Cet éléphant mignon du ensemble Zoo Babies a été un énorme succès avec tout le monde.

Scrapbook Sunday #140

Last week we were invited down to a new friend's house in Saint Romain En Gal so the boys could have a play in her pool while we scrapped and chatted.

(Actually I had been down at the weekend too, but more of that another day !!)

I took my new camera and got a couple of photos of the boys having fun.

La semaine dernière, nous avons été invités chez une nouvelle amie à Saint Romain en Gal pour les garçons pouvaient jouer dans sa piscine pendant que nous discutions et créé.

(En fait, j'avais été chez elle le week-end aussi, mais plus de nouvelles de cela un autre jour!)

J'ai pris mon nouvel appareil photo et j'ai pris quelques photos des garçons qui s'amusent.

Flower Box

I found a tutorial on Pinterst to make a 3D flower using the flower punch.

I used the new paper stacks to decorate the box and make the flower. 

The new patterns in these paper stacks are so good and for only 25.95 Euros you get 40 sheets of 12 x 12 papers in all the colour families.

J'ai trouvé un tutoriel sur Pinterst de faire une fleur 3D en utilisant le perfo Pivoine fleur.

J'ai utilisé les nouvelles blocs de papier pour décorer la boîte et faire la fleur.

Les nouvelles motifs en ces blocs de papier sont si bons et pour seulement 25,95 euros, vous obtenez 40 feuilles de 30 x 30 papiers dans toutes les familles de couleurs.

Team Cards

The Artful Readers Club May 2013

This month for the Artful Readers Club I read a real chick lit book called

Three Girls and a Baby by Rachel Schurig

It was a very easy read but that's exactly what I wanted and needed this month.

It's the story of three friends, Ginny, Annie and Jen, who share a house together after they all finish college.

Ginny has a very on/off relationship with her boyfriend, Josh. They had dated all though college and when they broke up her friends took her side and never wanted Ginny to see Josh again.

Well in true chick lit timing, that's when Ginny finds out she is pregnant.

She decides to keep the baby.

But her employers, she's a nanny to 3 children, decide that having an unmarried mother is not what they want their kids to see, so Ginny ends up unemployed as well.

Annie and Jen are her rocks and help her out. 

Luckily, Annie has a friend who knows about a job going in a local bookstore which Ginny ends up getting.

Ginny finds love again and everything seems to be going well, until she bumps into Josh's mum at the doctors. Josh's mum is your typical evil mother-in-law and doesn't seem thrilled about becoming a grandma very soon.

Ginny has her beautiful baby, I won't tell you what she has, incase you want to read it.

And slowly her life with the baby sorts itself out and everyone ends up in a happy place, as per all chick lit.

I did really enjoy this book and may get the sequel to read over the summer.

Scrapbook Sunday #115

This set of photos were taken in the boys bedroom at our old flat.

I was laughing with Graham after I had made this page, as on the top left photo, where he is in his bouncy swing, I was explaining that we used to put a tall mirror in front of him so he thought that someone was always with him.

Je riais avec Graham après avoir fait cette page, que sur la photo en haut à gauche, où il est en son swing rebondissant, j'expliquais que nous avons utilisé un grand miroir en face de lui, afin qu'il pensait que quelqu'un était toujours avec lui.

Scrapbook Sunday #111

I always take photos of flowers when we go away.

Just like these perfect little mountain flowers.

I remember years ago walking up a mountain about an hour from here and there being the tiniest little daffodils I had ever seen. I was exhausted but I couldn't bear stepping on them.

These were the same, they have such a short amount of time between the snow melting and it starting up again.

Je prends toujours des photos de fleurs quand nous partons.
Tout comme ces fleurs petites parfaites de montagne.
Je me souviens il y a quelques années de marcher dans les montagnes à environ une heure d'ici, et il y avait les plus petites jonquilles que j'aie jamais vu. J'étais épuisé, mais je ne pouvais pas supporter de marcher sur elles.
C'étaient les mêmes ici, elles ont un tel court laps de temps entre la fonte des neiges et le redémarrage.

I have never tried this techinique before, it's called Reflection Technique and it is the technique that needs to be used for this week's challenge over at Sunny Challenges.

I would also like to say a huge thank you to the ladies at Sunny Challlenges for choosing my card from last week's challenges as their Ray of Sunshine. It was the perfect way to start the weekend.

Je n'ai jamais essayé cette techinique avant, elle est appelée la technique de réflexion et c'est la technique qui doit être utilisé pour défi de cette semaine sur Sunny Challenges.

Je voudrais aussi dire un grand merci aux dames de Sunny Challlenges d'avoir choisi ma carte de la semaine dernière comme leur rayon de soleil. C'était le moyen idéal pour commencer le week-end.

I found these old school ID photos this week and as they are so small I didn't want to lose them again, so I made a page up stright away.

There must be more and I have to find them.....

J'ai trouvé ces vieilles photos d'identité scolaires cette semaine et comme elles sont si petites que je n'ai pas envie de les perdre à nouveau, alors j'ai fait une page tout de suite.
Il doit y en avoir plus et je dois les retrouver .....

I really don't use this Creative Elements stamp set enough !!

The beautiful flowers and wonderful background were made using this set, a set that we got free at the Convention last year in Paris.

I love this little card bag with it's matching 6 cards.

It was one of the tutorials I got from INK4U, did you know that this site is free to join and there are lots of free tutorials. You can opt to pay for extra tutorials during the year. I would definitely recommend it.

J'aime ce sac petite carte avec ces 6 cartes correspondantes.
C'était l'un des tutoriels que j'ai reçus de INK4U, saviez-vous que ce site est gratuit et il y a beaucoup de tutoriels gratuits. Vous pouvez choisir de payer pour des tutoriels supplémentaires au cours de l'année. Je le conseille sans hésiter.

Scrapbook Sunday #100

 We have had a week that really threw us back into the past.

Martyn had to go to a funeral of a dear friend and I watched a DVD that my aunt sent me of my granddad's 80th birthday.

Both were a shock.

I was OK watching the DVD and seeing younger versions of my family and Martyn but i cracked when I heard my granadad talk. I just never thought I would hear his voice again and I loved it.

It got me to thinking about other people who had been at our wedding and are no longer about but still in our thoughts.

These are both of our grans.

Look at Graham's face in the picture below, what a cheeky little monkey he looks !!

 

 Nous avons eu une semaine qui nous a vraiment fait retourner dans le passé.
Martyn a dû aller à l'enterrement d'un ami cher et j'ai regardé un DVD que ma tante m'a envoyé du 80e anniversaire de mon grand-père.
Les deux ont été un choc.
J'étais contente de regarder le DVD et de voir des versions plus jeunes de ma famille et Martyn, mais j'ai craqué quand j'ai entendu mon discours grand-père. Je n'ai jamais pensé que je pourrais entendre sa voix encore une fois et j'ai adoré.
Il m'a fait penser à d'autres personnes qui avaient participé à notre mariage et ne sont plus là, mais toujours dans nos pensées.
Ce sont deux de nos mamies.
Regardez le visage de Graham sur l'image ci-dessus, je ne sais pas ce qu'il a fait mais c'était quelque chose !!

Scrapbook Sunday #98

 Graham was such a little cutie (he still is !!) and he loved this little bunny.

We did the worried parent thing of buying a second one 'just in case'.

 Graham était un petit ange (il est toujours!) et il aimait ce petit lapin.
Nous avons fait ce que font les parents inquiets en achetant un deuxième "juste au cas où».

 

I have done some hidden journaling saying who the rabbit is.

J'ai fait quelques journalisation cachée disant identité du lapin.

Card Class

These are two of the card we made at Saturday's card class.

Both were cased from Pinterest (although I didn't make a note of who the original cards were made by).

Ce sont deux des cartes que nous avons faites pendant la Classe des cartes samedi dernier.
Toutes les deux ont été copié de cartes que j'ai vu sur Pinterest (malheureusement) je n'ai pas noté par qui les cartes originales ont été faites par).

I love the first one with the Tea Shoppe stamps and can't wait to try this in other colours.

J'aime la première avec les tampons Salon de Thé et je ne peux pas attendre pour les essayer dans d'autres couleurs.

Spring Colours

My friend Anita has bought this wonderful Easter Blossoms set,
but she hasn't had the time to play with it.
So (being the good friend that I am!! ) I am helping her with ideas on how to use this pretty set.
Here is one of the cards I made.
Just very simple and subtle.

Mon ami, Anita, a acheté ce merveilleux set de tampons Bouquet Pascal,
mais elle n'a pas eu le temps de jouer avec.
Donc, (étant la bonne amie que je suis!) je l'aide avec des idées pour comment utiliser ce joli lot.

Card Class Part 1

Here are the first 2 cards we made last Saturday for the monthly card class.
Firstly a baby card for a little princess.
We used the Baby Tees Jumbo Wheel which we stamped on to Whisper White cardstock and then cut into the separate bodies, before colouring in with the Stampin' Up! Watercolour pencils.
We also decorated the inside of the card with an extra piece of So Saffron Designer Series Paper from the Subltes pack and the second sentiment from Petite pairs.

Voilà les deux premières cartes que nous avons fait samedi dernier pour la classe mensuelle de cartes.
Tout d'abord une carte de bébé pour une petite princesse.
Nous avons utilisé la roue maxi Baby Tees que nous avons tamponné sur du papier cartonné Murmure Blanc, puis nous avons découpé les body avant de les colorer avec les crayons aquarelle de Stampin' Up !
Nous avons aussi décoré l'intérieur avec un morceau de papier Série Design en Tellement Safran du pack de papiers Subtils et un deuxième sentiment du set de tampon Quelques .


The second card is also a girly one with colourful cupcakes in Melon Mambo, Crumb Cake and Wisteria Wonder.

La deuxième carte est aussi très fille avec ces cupcakes en Melon Mambo, Brune Dune et Galante Glycine.

I hope you don't think this is in bad taste, but we thought that the pictures were so funny
that I wanted to put them in to my scrapbook.
I know that the current trend for 'planking' has become dangourous,
but this was truely just a camera angle.

J'espère que cette page ne vous choque pas, nous avons trouvé les photos très rigolos et je voulais les mettre dans mon album de scrap.
Je sais que cette tendance actuelle pour 'planking' est très dangereuse,
mais ici c'était vraiment juste l'angle que la photo était prise.
