Hostess Sets

Can you believe that we are already one month into the new Stampin' Up! year !!

I don't think that I ordered any hostess sets from last year's Annual Catalogue but this year I think I have got nearly all of them - one set in French and English.

This set is called Simply Sketched and only costs 14 Euros, but only hostesses can get them. So get in touch if you would like to host a Stampin' Up! party and get some hostess euros to spend as you want.

From tomorrow, we lucky demonstrators in Europe will be able to pre-order from the new Autumn/Winter catalogue already.

Pouvez-vous croire que nous sommes déjà un mois dans la nouvelle année Stampin'Up!

Je ne pense pas que j'ai commandé des sets d' hôtesses du dernier catalogue annuel mais cette année, je pense que j'ai presque tous - même un lot en français et en anglais.

Cet ensemble est appelé Simples Esquisses et ne coûte que 14 euros, mais seulement des hôtesses peuvent les obtenir. Donc me contacter si vous souhaitez organiser un rendez-vous Stampin 'Up! et gagner quelques euros d'hôtesse de dépenser comme vous voulez.

A partir de demain, nous les démonstrateurs chanceux en Europe seront en mesure d'effectuer une pré-commande sur le nouveau catalogue automne / hiver déjà.

Scrapbook Sunday #136

I got Martyn this tee shirt for his last birthday as a fun extra.

I don't like facial hair, so i thought that he would be happy to have moustaches on his tee shirt instead. But now everytime he wears it, he wants to grow one !!

So I cut out a black moustache and got him to stick it on while I took a photo, so now he knows how he would look if he ever did grow a real one.

J'ai acheté ce tee shirt pour Martyn pour son dernier anniversaire comme un petit plus rigolo

Je n'aime pas les poils du visage, alors j'ai pensé qu'il serait heureux d'avoir des moustaches sur son tee-shirt à la place. Mais maintenant, chaque fois qu'il le porte, il en veut un !!

Donc j'ai coupé la moustache noire et lui ai demandé de le coller pendant que je lui prenais une photo, alors maintenant il sait comment il aurait l'air si jamais il en pousse un vrai.

Artful Readers Club July 2013

Back again for my monthly book review for the Artful Readers Club.

This month I read a wonderful book by Keith Cronin called Me Again.

I 'bought' it ages ago when it was free on Kindle and as the whole point of the ARC is to read books that have just been forgotten about, I had picked this one.

What an amazing piece of fiction - but it felt so real that by the end if I had been told that it was an autobiography then, I think, I would have believed it.

It's the story of Jonathan Hooper who wakes up after 6 years in a coma.

At first he doesn't remember anything about what had happened, who he was, where he was. In fact, he thought he was called Jesus as that's what all the medical staff around were saying.

And to be honest, he doesn't really remember much even when he starts to communicate with the doctors and his family. 

He had a drop, dead gorgeous girlfriend before, but he can't remember.

He had a great high flying accountants job, but now he doesn't understand numbers at all.

He has a mum, a dad and a brother, but he doesn't remember them.

Jonathan makes friends with Rebecca, a fellow stroke patient, at the same hospital as him.

And we follow their story towards recovery.

Jonathan has to learn to do everything again, including learning his animals and what sounds they make, which is where I took my inspiration for my page.

This truly is a feel good book.

My biggest suprise about this book was that it was written by a man. Normally men write thrillers, mysteries, science fiction, but Me Again is filled with emotion and charm. Well worth the read.

Sassy Birthday Wishes

This is the second card that Aurélie and I made last week, with another fabulous new set, Tape It.

It's like having Washi Tape in every Stampin' Up! colour !!!

We used the Sassy Salutations stamp set, which has 25% off until the of the month.

C'est la deuxième carte que Aurélie et moi avons fait la semaine dernière, avec un autre nouvel ensemble fabuleux, Tape It.

C'est comme avoir Ruban Adhésif dans chaque couleur de Stampin 'Up! !

Nous avons utilisé le set de tampons de Sassy Salutations Sassy, qui a 25% de réduction jusqu'à la fin du mois.

Grungy Birthday

On Friday, I got together with one of my lovely downline for a morning of crafting.

We made a few cards and the scrapbook page that I showed you yesterday.

This card used a couple of new stamps sets from the Annual catalogue, Label Love and Gorgeous Grunge. I can really see that I will be using both of these sets lots in the coming year.

We used 3 of the new In Colours as well as the new Ruffle Stretch Trim.

Vendredi dernier, j'ai passée une très belle matinée avec une de mes filleules.

 
Nous avons fait quelques cartes et la page de l'album que je vous ai montré hier.

Cette carte utilise deux nouveaux sets de tampons du catalogue annuel, Un Amour D'étiquette and Gorgeous grunge. Je peux vraiment voir ce que je vais utiliser ces deux ensembles beaucoup dans l'année à venir.

Nous avons utilisé 3 des nouveaux In Colours ainsi que la nouvelle Ruban Ruché Extensible.

Scrapbook Sunday #135

After visiting L'Isle Sur La Sorgue last weekend, 

I came home and wanted to getting the photos from our last visit onto paper.

This is one of the 12 x 12 papers from the This and That collection.

I used the circles that were on the paper to continue the decoation down the right hand side.

And some of the new Candy Dots at the top.

 

Après avoir visité l'Isle sur la Sorgue le week-end dernier,
Je suis rentrée et je voulais mettre des photos de notre dernière visite sur le papier.

C'est l'un des papiers 30 x 30 de la collection This and That.
J'ai utilisé les cercles qui étaient sur le papier pour poursuivre la decoation sur le côté de droite.
Et quelques-uns des nouveaux Pois Sucrés de bonbons en haut.
